July 26 – The School of Computer & Information Engineering was invited to the closed-door education industry session of the Corpora Forum at the World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC 2025) in Shanghai. Dean Zhang Bofeng delivered a keynote entitled “AI Reshaping Education”.
In his speech, Dean Zhang elaborated on the background, connotation and SPPU practices of “AI + Education”. He argued that AI + Education means leveraging artificial intelligence to assist instruction, administration, assessment and feedback, thereby delivering more efficient and personalized educational services. Empowering education with AI is not confined to technical deployment; it represents a transformation of educational philosophy and models, requiring educators to renew their pedagogical outlook and upgrade their information literacy to meet the demands of a new educational paradigm.
Organized by the WAIC 2025 committee, the closed-door summit aimed to explore AI’s application and prospects in education. Participation provided the college with fresh perspectives for its research and practice in AI-driven education, and the college will continue to advance study and implementation to foster innovation and change in education.
