Recently, in accordance with the “Regulations on the Science and Technology Progress Award for Geographic Information,” the 2025 Science and Technology Progress Award for Geographic Information has completed the procedures of application submission, formal review, online evaluation, and final evaluation, and has been approved by the Science and Technology Award Committee for Geographic Information. The achievement “Key Technologies and Applications of Intelligent Interpretation of Urban Ecological Elements and Accurate Assessment of Carbon Effects,” in which Ms. Li Dandan, a teacher from the School of Computer and Information Engineering, participated, was awarded the First Prize of the 2025 Science and Technology Progress Award for Geographic Information. This marks an important contribution by our university’s faculty to this year’s awards. In 2025, a total of 138 projects nationwide received the award, including 5 Special Prizes, 45 First Prizes, and 88 Second Prizes.
The Science and Technology Progress Award for Geographic Information is an authoritative industry award established by the China Association for Geographic Information Industry and approved by the National Office for Science and Technology Awards. It aims to recognize major innovations in the field of geographic information science and technology that demonstrate significant application results and make outstanding contributions to advancing the industry, serving as an important benchmark for measuring the level of technological innovation in the sector.
