​The 24th IEEE/ACIS international conferences on computer and information science (ICIS 2024) were held at our university.

The 24th IEEE/ACIS international conferences on Computer and Information Science (24th International Conference on Computer and Information Science, ICIS 2024) was held from September 20 to 22 in our university. The conference was jointly organized by the IEEE Computer Society and ACIS, and co-sponsored by the School of Computer and Information Engineering, the Office of International Exchange and the School of Computer Science and Technology of Kashgar University. Professor Xie Huaqing, President of the university, and Professor Roger Lee, founder of ACIS and Central Michigan University, USA, were the co-chairs of the conference.

Since it was first organized in 2001, ICIS Conference has become an important academic event in the field of global computer and information science, attracting top scholars from all over the world every year. The themes of this year's conference cover a wide range of cutting-edge fields, such as Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, Cloud and Internet of Things, Cyberspace Security, and e-Economy, etc. The conference aims to present and discuss the latest academic achievements and experiences, and to provide an international platform for academic exchanges for experts, scholars, and researchers in the field of Computer and Artificial Intelligence from all over the world.

The conference received the latest scientific research results from 16 countries, including Peru, India, Japan, Korea, Australia, Bangladesh, Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, Iran, Jordan, Germany, Greece, United States, Canada, and China, and the committee reviewed and accepted papers from the University of Cambridge, the University of Sydney, McMaster University, Myongji University, Korea University, and the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, University of Tehran, PayPal, Chinese University of Hong Kong, Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Kashgar University, Chongqing University, and Shanghai Polytechnic University.

The conference includes opening ceremony, keynote reports, session reports and campus tour, with 4 keynote reports and 11 session reports covering a wide range of fields such as artificial intelligence, cloud IoT, cyberspace security, etc., which provide participants with a wide range of academic exchange platforms.

The opening ceremony was hosted by Prof. Zhang Bofeng, Dean of the School of Computer and Information Engineering of the University. Prof. Xie Huaqing, President, on behalf of the School, and Prof. Miao Huaikou, a member of the ACIS Board of Directors, on behalf of the ACIS Association, delivered speeches to the conference respectively.

In the keynote session, Prof. Mara Nikolaidou from Harokopio University of Athens, Prof. Zou Guobing, Vice Dean of the School of Computer Engineering and Computing Science of Shanghai University, Prof. Song Shaojing, Vice Dean of the School of Computer and Information Engineering of the University, and Baidu's Longzhi Wang, a Software Engineer, discussed and exchanged views on intelligent infophysical systems, the application of Artificial Intelligence in Service Computing, Deep Learning, and the application of large-scale AI models in the field of industrial intelligence. models in the field of industrial intelligence, etc. Prof. Mara Nikolaidou explored the application of IoT and infophysical systems in multiple fields, discussing how to use AI tools to enhance the autonomy of infophysical systems, and the report covered three levels of intelligent aggregators, service integration and how humans can be integrated into infophysical systems. Prof. Guobing Zou presented AI research progress in service computing, including deep learning to predict service quality and the construction and application of intelligent recycling service platform. Prof. Shaojing Song demonstrated the research directions and achievements of the School of Computer and Information Engineering of the university, focusing on the research of vehicle infrastructure collaboration and heterogeneous point cloud alignment. Mr. Wang Longzhi shared Baidu's Wenxin Yiyin large-scale language model and its application in multiple business scenarios, as well as how the Flying Paddle deep learning framework accelerates the training and reasoning of AI models. The presentations covered a wide range of topics from theoretical research to practical applications, demonstrating the rapid development and far-reaching impact of AI technology in many fields.

In the 11 session presentations, participants discussed and exchanged the latest research results covering the fields of artificial intelligence, distributed systems, cyberspace security, communication systems, neural networks, and visual and multimedia computing. The conference content ranges from the application of deep learning models in Education and healthcare, to innovative solutions for cybersecurity, to efficient algorithms for distributed computing, as well as technological advances in visual recognition and multimedia processing, showcasing a wide range of research and practical applications in the field of computer science and technology. The presentations not only provide a platform for academic exchanges, but also promote cooperation and knowledge sharing between academia and industry.

ICIS 2024 is not only a communication event to share scientific research results and cutting-edge technologies, but also an important platform to promote global cooperation and development in the field of computer and information science, to stimulate more innovative thinking, to inject new vitality into the development of global computer and information science, and to bring together the world's top wisdom to draw a blueprint for the future of science and technology.
