On December 31, 2023, Deng Renming, a student majoring in Communication Engineering in the School of Computer and Information Engineering, participated in the 19th Baidu Star Programming Competition National Finals in Beijing and won the Bronze Award.
Baidu Star, also known as Astar, is a high-level programming competition organized by Baidu, the world's largest Chinese-language search engine company, for students and programming enthusiasts in Chinese universities and colleges. It has been successfully held for 19 times since 2005, and it is a competition platform for campus programming experts to communicate and exchange ideas. So far, the Baidu Star Programming Contest has accumulated hundreds of thousands of participants, and is regarded as the Whampoa Military Academy and Star Factory for programmers in China.
Mr. Deng Renming has repeatedly won excellent results in various programming competitions, including the Silver Prize in China University Programming Competition, the First Prize in the National Finals of the Blue Bridge Cup, and the Gold Prize in the National Finals of the Horseshoe Cup, etc. Most of the participants in this competition are from China, and most of them are from China. Most of the participants in this competition were students from top universities in China, including more than 780 students from Tsinghua University, Peking University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Beijing Institute of Technology, Wuhan University and other famous universities in China, and Mr. Deng Renming won the Bronze Prize through his tenacity and hard work, which won the honor for the university.
